Hi, my name is Joanna

I'm a product designer and Junior at the University of Iowa majoring in Informatics and minoring in Psychology and Communication Studies.

I aim to use my background to explore how we can
leverage the principles of the field to create more inclusive and
equitable product designs for marginalized communities.
Additionally, my experience in qualitative research, programming, and UX/UI design helps me facilitate the usability and desirability of a given product or service. My ultimate objective is to contribute to the advancement of user experience through a critical examination of the intersections of bias, ethics, and design.

Other than designing, I enjoy other creative outlets such as videography, producing music, learning languages, and songwriting.

MY VALUES

My ultimate aspiration is to improve
the well-being of others and make a lasting positive impact on our world.
I hold myself accountable to the
highest standards in developing ideas and creating contributions for society.
This deep-rooted desire motivates me to continually explore and innovative solutions to address real-world challenges.

For the People

01

Collaboration is the cornerstone of successful UX design. I believe that the most innovative and effective solutions are born through the collective efforts of diverse minds. I value the art of active listening and create spaces where everyone feels heard, leading to richer discussions and more informed
design decisions.

Embrace Collaboration

02

Actively seeking feedback and critique allows me to uncover areas for improvement and consider fresh perspectives. By embracing imperfections, I cultivate a mindset of continuous learning, adaptability, and resilience. It is through this process that I strive to create designs that truly resonate with users and exceed their expectations.

Imperfections Lead to Growth
